Most of our clients have
chosen First Dental Health (FDH) because of the size of our networks,
the quality of our providers, and the depth of our discounts. As
an independent network, we offer great flexibility to any insurer,
TPA or self-insured organization. By focusing our energies exclusively
on dental PPO and EPO networks we have helped clients consistently
save up to $20 in claims expenses for every dollar spent accessing
the FDH networks.
Quality providers are of
paramount importance to FDH. This is evident by our stringent credentialing
- before a dentist is added to our network - and our recredentialing
standards which are done annually (as compared to the bi-annual
industry standard).
FDH also re-prices claims
and reviews them for "dental necessity," saving our clients
additional money (usually 10% of the network savings). This claims
review service, supplements our re-credentialing process and has
a "sentinel effect" on our network. This sentinel effect
helps FDH maintain quality providers and prevent over-treatment
and over-charging.
